Civil litigation · Fort Lauderdale

Argued by
your own lawyer

Caspian Pellerin handles civil lawsuits for people and businesses on either side of the complaint. One lawyer reads your file, writes your papers and stands up for you in the courtroom.

Caspian Pellerin

Founding attorney

I came to civil litigation through the paperwork: the contract nobody read twice, the policy page that decided a claim. I still start every case there.

A lawsuit is long, and most of it happens on paper before anyone sees a courtroom. I keep my docket small so the lawyer who reads your file is the lawyer who writes the motion, takes the deposition and sits beside you at trial.

I act for plaintiffs and for defendants. Which side you are on changes the strategy, not the standard of care.

Cases I take

  • Contract disputes
  • Owner and partner disputes
  • Insurance claim denials
  • Condo and property disputes
  • Jury and bench trials

Matters

Three places a lawsuit usually starts

The docket is small on purpose. These are the cases Caspian takes, and the page for each says what the work looks like.

  • A stack of old case folders tied together on a dark table

    Contract and business disputes

An agreement that one side stopped honoring, an owner who locked the other out, a client who never paid.

    Contract disputes
  • A boarded window in the weathered siding of a storm-damaged house

    Insurance claim disputes

A claim denied, delayed or paid below the damage, and a policy that has to be read line by line.

    Insurance claims
  • The front of a house with a garage, seen through tree branches

    Property and condo disputes

Assessments, boundary lines, repairs an association will not make, and defects found after closing.

    Property disputes

In their words

From clients, looking back

“He explained the complaint in a way I could repeat to my partner, and he called himself when something changed.”

Osric M.Business owner, contract dispute

“The denial letter made no sense to me. By the end I knew what the policy said and what my options were.”

Hesper K.Policyholder, claim denial

“I never felt like a file number. The same lawyer answered every email.”

Lysander S.Condo owner, assessment dispute

Sample testimonials. Each client's case is different, and these words describe one client's experience, not a promise of any result.
